DINE IN

What safety measures are you taking
– We have limited our capacity and spaced out the tables to ensure we can all obey social distancing
– We are running cashless until further notice.
– All of our menus will be disposable for the foreseeable future (online ordering platform coming soon)
– We’ve introduced hand sanitiser stations at the entrance, inside the venue as well as the exit.
– We’ve introduced floor signage to help direct you safely around the venue (one entry, one exit) and clear signage throughout to remind guests of social distancing and hygiene practices
– All of our team members have received extensive Health & Safety training and we’ll be deep cleaning our venue even more regularly and keeping key touch points clean during service.

Do I need to book?
As part of our measures to keep everyone safe during the time of coronavirus, we are now taking reservations throughout the day and for group sizes up to a maximum of six (correct at time of writing). Walk-ins will always be welcome, but booking is particularly recommended for busy times such as evenings and weekends.

What is the largest group size you can book?
At the moment we are only able to take groups of up to 6 people. If your group size is more than 6, we won’t be able to offer you multiple tables to accommodate your numbers.

Do children and babies count in the rule of 6?
They do. All babies and children should be included in the rule of 6.

Can I still come in for a drink only?
We’re keen for you to still be able to enjoy a drink during your time at the Black Dog, but – in Line with New government regulations ”venues must close unless they operate as if they were a restaurant. This means serving substantial meals, like a main lunchtime or evening meal. They may only serve alcohol as part of such a meal” – We are therefore currently are not able to accept Drinks Only Parties..

Am I required to wear face covering in the venue?
Yes, as per government guidelines, face covering is required in enclosed public spaces so when moving around the venues a face covering must be worn at all times, when seated you are not required to wear the mask.

What happens if I am running late?
Please be aware we can only hold your reservation for 15 minutes and after this time it will be made available to other customers. If you are running behind, give us a call on 0207 735 4440 and we will try and assist. Please note that we are experiencing high volumes of calls when in-service so we might not be able to attend to your call immediately.

What happens if I need to cancel a booking?
We have had a huge number of no-shows over the last few weeks. Please do let us know if your plans have changed.
We kindly request that you let us know ASAP of your inability to attend – Ideally no later than 24h* before the booking takes place. There is no charge for cancellation of the booking, but we would appreciate if you could let us know asap so we can welcome as many diners as possible back to our venue.

Track & Trace
Please note: Hospitality businesses are legally required to log customers, visitors, and guests on the NHS Covid-19 App. On your arrival you will be asked to scan a Dirty Bones QR code and check-in. To speed up the process of being seated, please ensure you have the NHS Covid-19 App downloaded before visiting the venue. NHS WEBSITE

Staff Wellbeing
Our staff’s wellbeing is crucial to us – we look after them so that they can look after you. There are various steps we are taking at the moment to ensure they are looked after. All staff receive face masks to wear on public transport and in our venues. We do health checks every day and continue to support staff members who are vulnerable, on a case-by-case basis.

CHRISTMAS

December Bookings
To secure a booking we require authentication of a debit/credit card for £5per person. We do not charge your card, but we take the information in case of a no show and/or failure to cancel before our 7 days cancellation period. Should you wish to cancel your booking you will be able to do so with no charges being applied up to 7 days before the booking takes place.

Christmas Menu Bookings
Christmas is still on and we want to make your visit as special as we can for you and your guest(s). We’ve decided to merge our Daily menu and Christmas menu so you don’t have to pre-order food for your visit. We’re making festive dishes available for you and your party to order on the day. This enables us to reduce the admin required to get you your festive treats. Do let us know if you’re in the festive market and we’ll do our best to accommodate your holiday wishes.

Refunds
In the event of a quarantine being declared, The Black Dog will transfer the deposit amount onto a future booking OR issue a Gift voucher for the deposited amount for you to use.
